Nestled in the high valley of Hoja Blanca, on the frontier of Cuilco in western Huehuetenango, Villaure Especial emerges as a beacon of coffee perfection, where Mexico is just a kilometer away. This exceptional coffee is the fruit of Aurelio Villatoro's labor, a man whose journey from mechanic to master coffee producer is as inspiring as the coffee itself. Aurelio was born into a coffee legacy, dedicating himself to his studies before returning to his roots at Finca La Esperanza, his father's farm. In 1986, he founded Villaure, blending his first and last names, and embarked on a journey of growth and excellence. Through dedication and hard work, Aurelio expanded his farm, earning numerous national and international awards along the way.

Villaure Especial's journey from cherry to cup is marked by meticulous attention to detail. Harvesting from December to March, the process involves selecting perfectly ripe cherries and ensuring they're pulped no later than six hours after harvest to maintain their pristine quality. Fermentation occurs in concrete tanks for 24-36 hours, followed by careful washing and separation for quality. The coffee is then sun-dried on concrete patios for 10-14 days, a process closely monitored for the perfect outcome.
