ABOUT THIS COFFEE
We are delighted to present Marilandia, a standout coffee from the farm of José Bernabé Martínez in San Pedro Necta, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Situated at altitudes of 1,650 to 1,980 meters, this coffee benefits from the region's rich environment.
First-Generation Coffee Producer
José Bernabé Martínez, a first-generation coffee farmer, grows a variety of crops including lemons, bananas, oranges, and avocados on his farm, the Lemon Grove. Despite being around eighty years old, he actively manages the farm with his son, José Martinez. José began planting coffee in 1980 after inheriting land from his mother, gradually expanding his farm as coffee prices improved.
Washed Process Details
Marilandia undergoes a careful washed process:
- Fermentation Time: 29 hours after de-pulping
- Drying: Concrete patio for 7-9 days
