About this coffee, Brazil
Queen" isn't just a coffee—it's a powerful tribute to the incredible women in the coffee industry. This exceptional brew stems from the tenacious spirit of women-owned farms, their hard work, and their unwavering dedication to the craft. What's more, every stage of Queen's journey, from the nurturing soil to your cup, is overseen by the talented women including the women of Palace. It's more than just a quality beverage—it's a testament to female resilience and excellence. But the impact of Queen doesn't stop there. Each bag sold is also a catalyst for change. With every purchase, $1 is donated to The Downtown Women's Center, a devoted local non-profit championing women's issues. By choosing Queen, you're not just indulging in a carefully crafted coffee, but also supporting a cause that directly influences the lives of women in your community.
In the verdant highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, the indigenous women of Todos Santos have risen to the challenge of managing farms and families as their men seek work in the US. They've formed a powerful collective, 'Mujeres luchando por un futuro'—Women Fighting for a Future, encompassing over 200 small producers dedicated to uplifting their entire community. This initiative is a beacon of empowerment and self-sufficiency, supported by partnerships that provide crucial agricultural education and income diversification, with a commitment that six cents from every pound sold is reinvested into these programs.
These women are pillars of resilience, cultivating their coffee in the cool, cloud-kissed altitudes ranging from 1700 to 2100 meters, where the coffee cherries mature slowly, leading to a concentrated harvest season. Their stories, like those of Julia, Adhani, and Rebeca, are inspiring tales of first-generation coffee producers who not only grow exceptional coffee but also diversify with crops like tomatoes and corn for a sustainable livelihood. Our Ella Todos Santos Huehue coffee celebrates the essence of these women's strength, resilience, and the exceptional coffee they produce, symbolizing their journey of growth and empowerment.
